Recipes + daily routines dropping often!
There’s nothing quite like the smell of bread made from flour I milled myself that morning. Most of my loaves start with wheat berries or rye berries that I sprout, dry, and grind fresh. Sprouting unlocks flavor and nutrition, and the taste is deeper, slightly nutty, and honestly alive in a way store flour can’t touch. I’m always testing new ratios, hydration levels, and sprout percentages, so the recipes are still evolving, but every loaf is baked in my little kitchen oven with zero additives.
If you’re just starting out with fresh milling, I can’t recommend the Champion Juicer enough—it’s my workhorse that’s been grinding grains and juicing produce since I was in my early 20’s (in my 5o’s now, and it still hums like day one after dropping an astronomical $400 on the juicer and another $100+ for the grain attachment). They’re still making them today (new ones run about $300–$400 for the juicer and $150–$200 for the attachment), but honestly, snag a used one on eBay or Facebook Marketplace for $100–$200 total if you can find a clean one in good shape—they last forever with basic care. More recipes and mill notes coming soon!
