At Sprouted Dreams, the beauty of nature comes to life in every piece I create!
Cottagecore is more than an aesthetic—it’s a way of living close to the earth. That’s why I’ve chosen to craft my creations using only natural materials like wood, stone, clay, wool, and leather. These materials aren’t just beautiful; they carry the soul of the forest, the creek, and the land around my ranch. Let me share with you why natural materials are the heart of cottagecore living and how they inspire my work.
Every piece at Sprouted Dreams starts with nature. I gather wood from our ranch—sturdy oak, smooth sycamore, soft cottonwood, and fragrant pine. Sometimes, I incorporate walnut shells, bits of bark, or delicate buckwheat and broom plants for smaller creations like sprites or hair forks. Each piece of wood tells a story, with its unique grain and texture guiding what it will become. Sanding and polishing these treasures is a joy, revealing their natural beauty in a way that feels like a conversation with the earth.
Clay is another love of mine. Whether it’s Sculpey for intricate details or earthenware for rustic charm, clay connects us to the ground beneath our feet. While I dream of one day having a kiln to expand my clay creations, for now, I focus on sustainable, handcrafted pieces that bring warmth to your cottagecore garden or home.
You may have noticed that I no longer offer resin figurines or plastic-based items. This shift wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. Resin crafting involves toxic fumes and challenging disposal, which doesn’t align with my eco-conscious spirit. Plastic miniatures can also break down in gardens, potentially harming soil where food grows. Instead, I’ve returned to materials that are kind to both you and the earth. Natural materials like wood and clay not only look timeless but are also safe and sustainable, whether you’re adorning your garden or wearing one of my hair accessories.
Using natural materials for items that touch your body—like hair forks or jewelry—is especially important to me. Synthetic fibers and plastics can release harmful chemicals, disrupting hormones or even affecting fertility. At Sprouted Dreams, every piece is crafted to nurture your connection to nature, not detract from it.
Whether you’re creating a Fairy garden, styling your hair, or decorating your home with a clay treasure, my creations are designed to bring the life of the forest into your world. Each piece is made with care, inspired by the land around my cottage and shaped by the belief that nature holds the key to beauty.
